Karlštejn Castle

Karlštejn Castle

Karlstejn Castle, located approximately 20 km west of Prague, was built in the 14th century by the Czech king and Holy Roman emperor Charles IV.

At that time the castle housed the royal treasures, collections of holy relics, and the crown jewels. Today it is one of the best-preserved Gothic castles in the Czech Republic.
