Libeznice Garden Centre is situated on the northern border of Prague city. It is a private company, founded in 1994, and has three owners. The centre has the highest average sale of the garden centres you will visit during the IGC Congress. The on-line shop makes up 15% of the company's overall turnover (1/3 hardware; 1/3 plants; 1/3 planted window boxes); the remaining turnover being contributed by the garden centre. In 2016 the garden centre opened a cafe with 45 covers; this is run as a concession.
Arboeko is one of the biggest Czech companies for the production, sale and distribution of outdoor ornamental plants. The Pilgrim Church of St John of Nepomuk at Zelena hora (Green Hill) was built between 1719 and 1722 according to the plans of Jan Blažej Santini Aichl at the instigation of Vaclav Vejmluva, a significant abbot of the Cistercian monastery. The church is one of the supreme pieces of Baroque Gothic in Europe. The pilgrimage site was added to UNESCO Heritage List in 1994. The Royal Garden is an Italian Renaissance garden, situated in Prague Castle, and created around 1540 based on the project by Emperor Ferdinand I of Habsburg. Its site was originally a vineyard that Emperor Ferdinand I purchased to create a garden for the royal court.
